Dr. Peter Stavrianidis was appointed to the Heritage and Cultural Commission by the Somerset County Board of Chosen Freeholders on January 3rd 2020 at the County Courthouse. The nine member Commission, appointed by the Freeholders, are charged with the responsibility to develop County programs to “promote public interest in local and county history, in the arts and in cultural values, goals and traditions of the community, State and Nation”. Representatives are recommended by each municipality, and then officially appointed by the Board of Chosen Freeholders.
Dr. Peter is resident and business owner in the Somerset area for over 40 years. He is an avid supporter of the arts and local charitable organizations. Dr. Stavrianidis and his family, now in its fifth generation operate Venus Jewelers, a full service family jeweler.
